Interest in the possibilities offered by AI and machine learning technologies is rising, and companies’ adoption of artificial intelligence is also growing significantly. Ammagamma, a Modenese data science firm, was among the first Made in Italy companies to offer enterprises mathematical solutions for data management capable of steering them towards new social and production visions.
Among the solutions developed by the company is demand forecasting, a set of mathematical tools capable of forecasting demand in 3-6 months with a very high margin of accuracy. Such a solution has many advantages: a marked increase in responsiveness and effectiveness in responding to market needs, more efficient customer service, improved production processes and optimised logistics.
Ammagamma: innovation and humanism
It’s all thanks to Fabio Ferrari, a Modenese engineer born in 1979 who, after a brief experience as a researcher, left the academic world to establish with a few thousand euros Energy Way, an innovative Made in Italy start-up, in a wing of the 17th-century Ursuline convent in Modena. The company focuses on developing mathematical models to optimise company production systems with young professionals with AI, data management and data science expertise. The first important customers arrive, and the business grows year after year.
In 2020, Energy Way became Ammagamma (a name that evokes Ummagumma, the famous Pink Floyd song), a company where engineers, mathematicians, physicists, religion historians, designers, and sociologists work together, according to an ecosystem management model, to develop algorithms and mathematical solutions for companies and organisations that want to innovate and manage change. Ammagamma has drawn up and promotes the 8-point ‘Manifesto of Experiential Rationality‘ for a humanist vision capable of overcoming the sterile dualism ‘man vs. machine’ in favour of an approach that values both in a complementary perspective.

A growing company
Today, Ammagamma has an enlightened CEO such as David Bevilacqua, author of Ibridomania, an essay questioning the popular concept of ‘hybrid work’ and challenging its goodness by proposing an alternative that keeps work and private life separate but in a harmonious and sustainable way. The company has over 90 employees and offices in Modena and Haifa – Ammagamma Israel (near Technion) – is an official partner of Standford University and has a turnover of millions of Euros!
Congratulations to those who bring Made in Italy intelligence and innovation to the world!
